STOCKHOLM DELETE Stockholm Noir, Book 4

Narrator Jon Lindstrom's straightforward style provides a distinct advantage for listeners as he guides them through the labyrinth of Lapidus's latest novel. The Swedish author known for meaty stories with intricate plots and multiple characters certainly does not disappoint here. But these very features present difficulties for a successful transition from print to audio as listeners may need to backtrack frequently to follow the numerous subplots and to clarify identities. Lindstrom's presentation cannot be faulted as he delivers the text cleanly and moves the action forward at a manageably brisk pace. Given the extensive cast, he wisely avoids accents and character voices, instead establishing character definition with variations of tone.
