MINNIE AND MOO AND THE MUSK OF ZORRO

Moo has been reading again, prompting a desire to help in a world that cries out for heroes. Her longing to do good is contagious, and soon Minnie is also pondering the meaning of life. (Does she have more to give than just milk?) Barbara Caruso's excellent pacing, clear voice, and funny characterizations greatly enhance the story's humor. Her Southern-accented cows are lovably distinct creations. The background music, complete with castanets, conjures images of Spanish bullfighters and brings a smile to listeners as the two cows join the good fight to free the hen yard, if not the world, of tyranny.
