There are no surprises when Robert Lawrence performs another Dismas Hardy/ Abe Glitsky thriller. You get what you've come to expect--a solid narration in his nasal, crackling voice. He has become the personas of these characters. This time, while cop Glitsky has been reassigned from Homicide to Payroll after months of recovery from a near fatal shooting, lawyer Hardy is out to trap a nest of murdering special police.
