Writer Beth Kephart narrates these essays of self-reflection, focusing on her roles as a wife and daughter. With an introspective eye, she examines the process of identifying changes that have taken place within her. Sadly, rather than engaging the listener, Kephart's dry, monotonous tone lulls one into ambivalence. Her measured performance adds a pretentious air, belying her struggles with her sense of self. Furthermore, the production itself is not without flaws, specifically its reverberant acoustical quality. This work is recommended only for those who enjoy memoirs with a subdued narration.
