The English translation follows.]--Al hacer la narración del audiolibro escrito por la cantante Celia Cruz, la conocida periodista y activista Cristina Saralegui se expresa con tanto cariño y emoción como la autora. Al haber sido una amiga intima de la cantante, su voz se quiebra por la tristeza al leer el pasaje en que Celia recuerda la muerte de su madre en Cuba, expresando igualmente el odio profundo hacia Castro, quien las separó. Cabe aclarar que aunque este libro no es la historia completa de la vida personal y profesional de Celia, su valor radica en ser una espléndida recopilación de anécdotas interesantes y hechos relevantes, como es el origen del sob-renombre Azúcar, dado por sus amigos. The author's words also reflect a profound hatred of Castro, who separated them.
