MIDNIGHT PEACHES

Sydonia, Texas, is the location of the Ladies Farm Bed and Breakfast. This sequel to Litman's GENERATIONS OF THE HEART features events leading up to the annual peach festival, including the ruin of the entire peach crop by a hailstorm. Melissa Waringale, who has come home to escape her failing marriage, is on hand to give her expertise to the ladies. Together they create a grand event, including a midnight race to save the annual project. Cynthia Darlow presents both setting and characters seamlessly. She has a very good ear, and each of her characterizations is sympathetic and true. The author could not ask for a better reader. Neither can the listener.
