TRUCKDOGS

While this book can't Show you how cute truckdogs can be, they certainly sound adorable, thanks to the energetic performance of Stig Wemyss. Whether they are truck-like dogs or a dog-like trucks, these residents of the small town of Hubcap are composed of quiet and reserved adults contrasted with troublesome young pups looking for excitement. When the Mongrels, the local youths, are sent packing, young Sparky Plug and his friend Rex must find some way to bring them back. Wemyss's animated Australian voice brims with excitement. His vigor and enthusiasm raise the warmth and smiles already present in this tale. However, the introduction mentions accompanying drawings, and listeners may be disappointed not to have them.
