THE TORMENT OF OTHERS

A serial killer is trolling London murdering prostitutes--and he's is doing it exactly the way another man did years ago. But since that killer is safely locked away, who's doing the deeds? Gerard Doyle lends an air of authenticity to the novel, differentiating accents like Cockney and London's West End with ease. He even does a creditable job as the beleaguered heroine, a female inspector who has recently been raped. You can hear her frustration as she deals with co-workers' sympathy, jealousy, and hatred over her decision to return. With a lot of credit to Doyle, this novel is a gripper.
