Andrew Magrane escapes from an interrogation center in Siberia only to read his obituary in the newspaper, which he takes as a signal to begin Operation Damocles. As the body count rises, Special Forces Major Donaldson, Magrane’s handler, works to bring Magrane in, and journalist Linda Warrick is determined to find out what’s going on. Christopher Kay skillfully sorts through layers of deception with subtle tonal variations, deftly delivering the shifting threads of the story and revealing the characters’ tenacity.
