Good and evil do battle in a novel that uses Christian symbolism to tell its story. Graeme Malcolm's wonderful British accent is enough to send chills up the listener's spine as Vicar Obadiah Demurral strikes a bargain with the devil himself to rule the world. Impeding him, of course, is a trio of "goodness"--a brave boy, a feisty girl, and a mystical African--who are aided by Heaven itself. Malcolm's narration does justice to the myriad ghastly creatures from beyond the grave who are thrown in the path of the heroes as they try to save the world from domination by the forces of evil.
