ARTHUR KING AND THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE TIME TRAIN

Arthur King and his faithful sidekick, Lawrence, strike again. This time they're sure they're Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Narrator Steven Pacey captures the quirky personalities of both boys, as well as the troublesome adults they encounter as they solve their latest mystery. Pacey's best creation is the long-suffering Gwen, who continually rebuffs Arthur's amateurish advances. Both Wilkinson and Pacey capture adult and kid relationships and banter to the delicious delight of listeners. The humor, such as a policeman who sings, "I will nick you. . . " to the tune of Queen's classic "We Will Rock You," as well as other references throughout, gears this title to older children. It's all sheer pleasure!
