MARRIED TO A STRANGER

When Emma Hollis is brutally attacked by an axe-wielding hooded stranger in a rustic cabin on the first night of her honeymoon, her new husband, David, is nowhere to be found. As other murder attempts occur, David becomes the prime suspect. With her soft and melodic voice, Bernadette Dunne creates the attractive and vulnerable heroine, who gains our sympathy as she struggles to understand the dark, violent impulses that compel people to betray the one person they supposedly love most. Despite numerous red herrings and plausible motives, Dunne continually refocuses the listeners' attention on Emma's heart-wrenching question: Who is this man I married? Is he trying to kill me?
