LOST HIGHWAY

LOST HIGHWAY is the story of a banjo player in a country band. Though unabridged, it feels abridged as the carefully crafted story suddenly dissolves into a different one about the musician's son, who was wounded in Vietnam. Ross Ballard II is perfect as the talented Sapper Reeves. He not only portrays the singer in the novel, but also serves as the lead singer in a musical rendition of the fictional band's biggest hit, "Miranda." Look for more songs by other country performers, including The Stanley Brothers. Music lovers will enjoy the backstage view of the 1950s' music business.
