NECESSARY EVIL

Picture the most masterful ventriloquist you've ever seen. That's Lorelei King in her reading of this short murder thriller. Rapid-fire conversations between several women don't phase King as she seamlessly switches from the voice of one female detective to another. The women, and the male cops that King portrays equally well, must stop--or not--the person who has been killing pedophile priests. Marvel at King's ability to matter-of-factly describe the maggots invading the head one victim. Forgive her for not editing out the author's erroneous use of the phrase "decapitated head."
