A master of the chick-lit genre, British author Kathy Lette has struck gold once again with this novel of 30-something hilarity. Aided by a vibrant reading by Shirley Barthelmie, the story of Becky Steele comes to life as she grapples with her problems. Struggles with marriage, being jilted, and affairs become a spirited aural romp. Barthelmie expertly portrays the subtle shifts in English accents in the effervescent banter between Becky and her friends. While the American accents leave something to be desired, overall this story of a conflicted modern woman is a joy to listen to. Prepare to laugh aloud as the high jinks ensue.
