THE JURY

Laural Merlington gives voice to the members of Michaels's "Sisterhood," various women who have banded together under the tutelage of wealthy Myra Rutledge to exact revenge against those who have wronged women whom they care about. Their latest mission involves vengeance against Presidential Advisor Karl Woodley, who continues to physically abuse his wife. Merlington's expert narration enables her to maintain the swift pace of the story while giving the characters a variety of perfect accents, including Myra's cultured Southern tones and her lover, Charles's, aristocratic British accent. Merlington's sense of timing makes her characters believable as she shifts her vocal intensity to reflect the range of charged emotions experienced by the characters.
