THE VISITOR

When a French au pair to twin boys is found murdered in her Oxford host family's home, Briony Williams is assigned to what proves to be no ordinary case. Soon the boys go missing, and cult-like events turn the investigation into a terrifying and dangerous endeavor. Narrator Nicki Paull delivers a full-throttle interpretation of evil men and breathes high anxiety into the characters they threaten. Her portrayal Briony as an inspector attempting to solve her first Oxford case provides insight into a difficult assignment. Paull also provides a broad range of intriguing portrayals--from the two precocious boys and their frantic parents to shadowy murderers fulfilling their ancient, perverse beliefs.
