If you're searching for a thriller that's off the beaten path, try this one from William Bernhardt. A serial killer is on the loose, dispatching people in horrific ways and leaving messages in mathematical equations. Behavioralist Susan Pulaski is hired by the Las Vegas Police, her former employers, as a contract worker. (She was fired for boozing.) To add insult to injury, Susan has to work for her archrival, who's just aching to get rid of her for good. With her charge, Darcy, a 26-year-old autistic man, Susan searches for the killer's identity. Susan Denaker's logical sounding voice is highly suited to Pulaski and rings true for savant Darcy as he delivers a plethora of information leading Susan to the killer.
