THE DARK OF DAY

Set in glitzy South Beach, Parker's novel about politicians, perversity, and porn is filled with sharp lawyers, sleazy senators, wicked developers, naïve young Floridians, and macho heroes. Elisabeth Rodgers subtly and precisely renders the medley of personalities. Her portrayal of tough, sexy Defense Attorney C.J. Dunn lures listeners into the character’s complicated lifestyle. Dunn is accused of influence-bartering for her role as a crime-show host. At the same time that she finds her job as a defense attorney in jeopardy, she is drawn more deeply into a murder investigation.
