“Yes,” listeners can say, “we’ve been there.” Rude behavior in today’s children may seem so endemic to today’s culture that parents feel baffled about how to combat it. The authors have compiled a very accessible guide to dealing with backtalk. Discussing some of the causes of rudeness in children, they keep it simple and don’t psycho-babble. They outline ways to address the rudeness and look at it in several situations. The high pitch of one narrator’s voice is a bit grating, but the program effectively communicates the issues and solutions.
