DENVER DRAW

Jack Garrett's warm voice and slow, easy delivery style draw the listener back to saloon life in the Old West. The all-male cast of characters includes the hero, gambler Ty Butler, and famous gunslingers Bat Masterson, Doc Holliday, and Wyatt and Virgil Earp. While Garrett doesn't make sharp distinctions between characters, he changes tone and cadence enough to help listeners keep them straight. His smooth steady pacing never falters. It’s escapist fare, to be sure, but Randisi's rip-roaring story will hook listeners, who may decide to extend their drive time as the plot moves to its surprising conclusion.
