This new trilogy of classic Sherlock Holmes mysteries is sure to please fans of the suave sleuth. “A Scandal in Bohemia” is an intriguing study in double identity with a titillating twist. “The Red-Headed League” is rife with humor, and “The Five Orange Pips” recalls a time when the first reaction to finding a clue in the letters “KKK” is to assume they’re someone’s initials. Most narrators are praised for their ability to change accents to fit the characters they’re portraying. While Raleigh never drops his British pronunciations, his characters come alive nonetheless, thanks to his expert inflections and tonal alterations, which are tailored to suit each individual voice.
