TOURIST SEASON

Narrator Amy McFadden engages the listener from the beginning with Ismay Chalmers, who is alone in a cottage during a hurricane. Ismay is staying at her fiancé Remy's family home on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts. Bo, the caretaker, comes to help her weather the storm. While looking for matches, Ismay makes a disturbing discovery in Remy's bedroom. McFadden reveals all the trepidation Ismay feels about Remy, as well as her growing attraction to Bo. When Remy's identical twin arrives, McFadden adds a creepy dimension to her narration. McFadden builds the tension as Ismay questions the characters of both Remy and his brother.
