Talking with Daniel Gerroll

Most actors do draw on their past and their origins when searching for ideas for particular characters. British actor Daniel Gerroll needed to portray English coal-mining country in THE FIRE-EATERS . Daniel’s love of accents and recollections of family and friends provided plenty of inspiration, creating a convincing and powerful performance of David Almond’s young adult novel. We’ve also heard Daniel create a fine audio experience of Penelope Lively’s THE PHOTOGRAPH . Joining Daniel in the two-voice narration, or audio duet, was his wife, actress Patricia Kalember.
