Carrington MacDuffie came to audiobooks from a musical background as a singer and recording artist, responding first to the opportunity of reading poetry. For the last five years, the LA- and Seattle-based actress has read titles as varied as THE ART OF WAR, novels by Jackie Collins, and, recently, a fantasy novel by Ursula le Guin. Earlier this year, Carrington got a chance to record bestselling author Harlan Coben’s JUST ONE LOOK. Celebrated in this issue is her Earphones-winning performance of Christopher Buckley’s FLORENCE OF ARABIA. “As a vocalist, I love to do dialects; here, I got to play a camel!” Carrington told us. That’s probably once-in-a-lifetime casting.
