ALL OR NOTHING

Private Investigator Al Giraud is not having much luck persuading his girlfriend, the brilliant and gorgeous former D.A. Marla Cwitowitz, that she doesn't want to become his partner--in part, because Al is working for Steve Mallard, a loving husband and father suspected of murder, and Al and Marla have been witnesses to the man's involvement with the victim. Maxine Howe's gravelly voice brings to mind a 1940s film star, complete with cigarette-holder. She accentuates the increasing adrenaline in the plot as it builds to several cliff-hanging moments. Al and Marla make a great team, uncovering more questions every time they think they know what's happening in a race to catch a cold-blooded and practiced killer.
