CONSEQUENCE OF FEAR

Curtain up on a captivating spy novel which begins with the terrors of World War II and ends with the horrors of a nuclear explosion in the '50's. The superlative reading by Hugh Dickson converts an enormous roster of English and Russian names into a cast of memorable people who maintain their identities throughout. Even though the story deteriorates half way through--does it really matter if a nuclear disaster is intended or accidental?--Dickson's performance keeps the listener involved to the end.
