THE CAT WHO BLEW THE WHISTLE

Jim Qwilleran and his two Siamese cats solve another murder mystery, this time involving a model railroad tycoon and his shady associates. The telepathic Koko and his sidekick, Yum Yum, help in Quill's investigation by knocking books off shelves, yowling at clue-revealing words, and hijacking items sounding like a suspect's name. George Guidall has developed quite the Siamese vocabulary in his work on the Cat Who . . . series, portraying the felines' distinct vocal tones without so much as a hint of embarrassment. Having mastered the animals, he makes the people look easy, giving them each a distinctive voice and character.
