To say this book is bizarre is an understatement. It's a comic fantasy, but graphic and violent as well. Author narrator Robert Rankin rises to all the demands of the text. The romp into a pun-filled world begins when Gary Cheese is a kid in '50s England. He visits the voodoo section of the library on Thursday afternoons when the library is closed. These events propel him into a lifetime of speaking to the dead. Gary's escapades continue as the book closes in 3032.
