MY SISTER'S KEEPER

Anna Fitzgerald was conceived and brought into the world in order to provide genetically matched tissue for her sister Kate, who suffers a rare form of leukemia. After donating cord blood, platelets, and bone marrow countless times, at 13 Anna "hires" a lawyer to sue for her medical emancipation from her parents, rather than donate a kidney. Not everything in this melodrama earns belief. The mother, a former lawyer, decides to represent herself in the lawsuit; the father is a fireman, and the troubled brother is an arsonist; and Anna's court-appointed guardian ad litum was her lawyer's first girlfriend. But the full cast of narrators taking each of the above roles is impeccably good. WHY does the producer not offer a cast list?
