John Dean's book portrays Bush II as an exaggerated doppelgänger of Richard Nixon, but with Dick Cheney as the little man behind the curtain controlling the wizard. The author, a convicted conspirator in the Watergate crimes, explores the issue of secrecy versus confidentiality in a democratic government. He claims that his legal experience in the White House gives him insight others lack in forming his highly negative opinions. In a baritone voice and unemotional interpretation Robertson Dean--no relation to the author--orally punctuates the abundant quoted material with two-second pauses to indicate quotation marks.
