Ramona Quimby, former pest of Klickitat Street, is growing up. Ramona's world is changing too: A new little Quimby is expected, a marriage is announced, and a family pet dies. Listeners will admire Stockard Channing's skillful narration and masterful portrayal of Ramona and her family. By turns droll, indignant, and ironic, Channing uses tonal shifts to capture the many points of view in the Quimby household, characterizing amused adults and ruffled third-graders alike.
