THE DANGEROUS HOUR

by | Read by Susan Ericksen

Mystery & Suspense • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2004

Sharon McCone's San Francisco private investigation firm is threatened by the arrest of an employee and a baffling Better Business Bureau complaint. Susan Ericksen gives the various characters in Muller's long-running series solid audio portraits, but Muller's writing does most of the work. Listeners are treated to a nice portrait of San Francisco's Mission District, and the Hispanic characters have considerable spark. As fans know, Sharon is a relentless investigator, and Ericksen's pace retains this intensity. The narrative never lets up, even when Sharon allows herself to examine personal loyalties and commitments. An excellent continuation in a series that listeners can drop into at any point. R.F.W.
