JAKE AND PETE

Jake and Pete are two kitkids (young cats) who confront a world of crows, dogs, rats, mice, and other cats, all on their own. Gillian Rubinstein writes cat talk, and narrator Alan King cleverly creates a perfect voice and appropriate animal sound for each creature. Subtle lessons that young listeners can gain from the kitkids include learning uncommon words, discovering a world without their mother, finding help from others, and learning to rely on each other and themselves.
