TRUST ME, I'M A TROUBLEMAKER

Archie is a kid who is too mature for his own good. Kids at his new school hate him. Then plucky Miranda decides to make him a troublemaker extraordinaire. Narrator Karl Theobald expertly presents myriad kids, their parents, and long-suffering teachers. Archie's transformation from goody-goody to class pest is hilarious--imagine a "scholarly" brat who uses erudite vocabulary in his insults. Relationships between family, teachers, and kids are outstanding and realistically rendered by the multitalented Theobald. This is a great choice to humorously illustrate how diverse people can learn to get along and how friendships can spring up most unexpectedly. S.G.B.
