THE WEDDING PLANNER'S DAUGHTER

Stina Nielsen enchants the listener with her portrayal of sweet Willa Havisham. Twelve-year-old Willa and her widowed mother, Stella, move to Bramble, Cape Cod, where Willa makes her first best friend, bonds with her candy-making Nana, and searches for the perfect father. Stella was severely wounded by the death of her husband, and Willa's goal is to melt her mother's heart like a cherry cordial. Nielsen superbly relates Willa's mishaps and good fortune, giving her a depth that listeners will appreciate. With her malleable voice, Nielsen enriches the cast of likable characters, providing an excellent performance of a story as sweet as candy.
