KILLER DREAMS

Brought together by a desire to prevent Robert Sanborne from misusing her sleep research for his own ends, Dr. Sophie Dunston and Matt Royd must trust each other. A casualty of Sanborne's previous experiments, Royd finds it difficult, but he's got little to lose. Sophie, however, has a young son she will do anything to protect, and Royd and his comrades are her only hope. Jennifer Van Dyck clearly understands Johansen's rhythms well. The simplicity of her interpretations of Matt and Sophie leaves room to give the supporting players a variety of Scottish burrs and regional U.S. accents, and serves to emphasize her cool, measured reading of Sanborne, which oozes villainy.
