Detective Duncan Hatcher, a smart Southern cop, must battle his own demons when he's called in to investigate the shooting of an intruder at the home of the very judge who recently sent him to jail for contempt (when Hatcher railed at him for releasing a drug lord). Dennis Boutsikaris does a wonderful job portraying each character, especially the Judge's beautiful wife--formerly a topless dancer, currently the shooter--who immediately stirs Hatcher's cop instincts. From the slime-ball Georgia criminals to the Judge's patrician character, Boutsikaris nails each accent and nuance. The voices are believable and distinct, and this thriller keeps you guessing.
