When a snowplow strikes a dead body during a Yorkshire snowstorm, more than a death is uncovered. In this installment of a well-written British police series, DS Fry and DC Cooper discover a mystery that leads to the wreckage of a WWII bomber and a long-festering grievance. The usually reliable Christopher Kay, who has read some of Booth's earlier work, offers a somewhat flat performance here. His delivery sounds muddy, and his characterizations unclear.
