What begins as a family history expands into a full-blown biography written with painstaking detail and honesty. Jenny Seedsman manages to breathe life into a minutiae-filled narrative, which is often as dry as the Australian landscape. She has a flair for bringing the rough characters of the bush to life and getting the accents just right.
