IT'S TIME TO SLEEP, MY LOVE & ON THE NIGHT YOU WERE BORN

This production will appeal to children who are ready to go to sleep but who may need a little help from a friend. Narrator Orlagh Cassidy nicely fills that role, reading the two sets of sweet, simple lyrics. Children can shut their eyes and imagine a world that revolves around them, where bears dance at news of their birth, and where the moon smiles at them and the night wind whispers their name. The story also has delightful interactive moments when kids are directed to whisper their names and wiggle their toes. The production is enhanced by the original music of Sally Taylor (daughter of Carly Simon and James Taylor), who transforms the lyrics of “It's Time to Sleep” into something truly beautiful. J.C.G.
