Children • 3.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1991

Two friends, Soup and Rob, get into enjoyable mischief as they prepare a never-to-be-forgotten welcome for their radio hero, Sinker O. Sailor. Dietz reads both boys' parts in indistinguishable tones and sounds too adult for these young roles. In itself, this is not a fatal flaw. He's more convincing with both male and female adults. He quickly warms to the story, picks a pleasant reading pace and brings about an entertaining performance despite the monotonous voices of Soup and Rob. Suitable for elementary school children, especially if they're Peck fans. P.A.J. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JAN 95]
