When two motivational gurus collaborate on a book about great partnerships, you might guess that it would be full of pep talks and pop psychology. This one delivers that and more with a twist, ballroom-dancing terminology. For example, intense partnerships are called tangos because of the complete commitment and synergy they require. Heather Shea's voice has several qualities that could contradict each other: intensity, friendliness, and a hushed sound. Deeply enmeshed and exuberant about her subject, she has obvious passion in her voice. She's also friendly and polite and sounds rather shy. It is a successful combination for this production.
