MAESTRO Greenspan's Fed and the American Boom

by | Read by James Naughton, Bob Woodward

Biography & Memoir • 4.5 hrs. • Abridged • © 2000

If you can forgive Woodward's journalese, smugness, and triteness--so many folk in this book are "poster boys" for something that one wonders if their modeling careers interfere with their day jobs--this is a fascinating and instructive book on Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan. Naughton's muscular voice suits the material, though a lighter touch would have been welcome. On the final side, the author himself delivers a sententious valedictory for his protagonist.
