THE THIRD OPTION

Mitch Rapp, a CIA counterterrorism expert, is thinking of retirement and a new life with his fiancée as he undertakes his last mission, the assassination of a German involved in the weapons trade. However, Rapp's dreams are postponed when his partners on the mission try to kill him, sending him on the run. Armand Schultz reads with a breathless yet matter-of-fact voice that conveys the toughness and weariness of the protagonist. Schultz makes the action move like clockwork--a little bit too much so.
