SKELETON DANCE

by | Read by George Guidall

Mystery & Suspense • 8 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2000

Gideon Oliver, forensic archaeologist, is in France working on a book when he gets drawn into a case of fraud and murder, a case that will bring to bear his knowledge of archaeology and paleontology. George Guidall renders a fully voiced performance that presents a significant challenge, considering the fact that most of the characters are French, speaking English with very French accents. This he does well--perhaps too well--at times the accents are so heavy that it’s difficult to understand the narrative. Listeners without some knowledge of French will be at a distinct disadvantage. The fast-paced tempo only serves to exacerbate the problem. S.S.R. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine [Published: AUG/ SEP 01]
