SAINT JOAN OF ARC

[Editor's Note: The following is a combined review with JESSE VENTURA.]--These two selections from A & E's "Biography" series are decent introductions to their subjects for a younger audience. Both are written in a journalistic style that is easy to follow and, in the case of Ventura's biography, entertaining. Like many biographies for youth, these works are a bit long on praise and short on analysis. White and Ordunio both give creditable performances that reflect the texts: neither flashy nor academic, just the facts.
