THE MYSTERIOUS LIGHTS AND OTHER CASES

[Editor's Note: The following is a combined review with THE ON-LINE SPACEMAN AND OTHER CASES.]--This series, which may remind some of us older folks of the Encyclopedia Brown stories of our youth, concerns one Adam "Einstein" Anderson--boy genius and pathological punster, who uses his brain to solve a host of mysteries. He is a help to his friends and family but a torment to the hilariously inept bullies, Pat and Herman. Each of these short stories does a nice job of teaching a scientific concept. Johnny Heller, who is deservedly respected for his readings of children's works, does a fine job narrating these tales. His performance is versatile, showing great enthusiasm.
