THE BONE BOX

by | Read by T. Ryder Smith

Inspirational Fiction • 10.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2008

Narrator T. Ryder Smith portrays archaeologist Randall Bullock's grief over his wife's recent death and his estrangement from his daughter, as well as his excitement about a new dig in war-torn Jerusalem. Smith’s delivery of the description of the ancient bone box that confirms Christ's resurrection is entirely credible. He portrays characters of multiple nationalities, classes, and traditions, as well as both genders, as he clearly recounts parallel story lines that cross centuries. He fully captures Bullock's surprise and guarded reunion with his daughter when she arrives in Jerusalem after expulsion from boarding school. He also matches voice to mood as a subtle romance develops between Bullock and Miri, an Israeli who befriends his daughter. This narrative, with its parallel time periods depicting ancient and modern Israel, won't disappoint. G.D.W. © AudioFile 2009, Portland, Maine [Published: JULY 2009]
