BURY IT DEEP

by | Read by Michael Hanson & Mary Dilts

Mystery & Suspense • 10 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1993

Cooper MacLeish, cabby, Vietnam vet, philosopher and hard-boiled detective, battles politics and corruption in this Chicago story with plenty of fast-paced action and double-dealing. Michael Hanson's narration hits just the right note in a gruff, whiskey-soaked baritone. The addition of another narrator for the female voice is interesting. Mary Dilts does a fine job with the female voices, but the male and female voices aren't well integrated. Each change of speaker is slightly jarring. The use of more than two voices or just one narrator is preferable. The production is excellent--well-paced and without mistakes or extraneous materials.
